This book was pretty awesome in my opinion. It's also full of mystery. The plot is Henry York comes to his aunt and uncle's house after his parents are kidnapped. As he stays in the house, things get odder and odder until Henry and his cousin Henrietta discover magic cupboards and decide to explore them. They visit many unique and creative locations using the cupboards. When exploring one of the cupboards, they accidentally release evil. Will Henry and his friends find a a way to defeat the witch or are they doomed?Find out by reading this book.

When Henry York's parents are kidnapped and held for ransom in Columbia, Henry goes to his aunt and uncle's house in Henry, Kansas to stay with them until his parents are rescued or released. He sees his cousins that he hasn't visited in years. Penny, caring and protective, Henrietta, strong-willed and dramatic, and Anastasia, sneaky and loose-lipped. One night, Henry finds something underneath the cracking plaster of his bedroom wall. He scrapes the crumbling plaster off until finally he finds 98 odd looking cupboards of all shapes and sizes. Henrietta finds him and insists he include her in his discoveries. They are able to open a few, but most are locked. Meanwhile, their late grandfather's room has been locked for two years, and nothing can get through into his bedroom. Not even an attempt to rip through the door with a chainsaw. Henry and Henrietta find their grandfather's journals and learn more and more about the cupboards. They find a key that can unlock their grandfather's room, and inside, they find yet another cupboard, big enough for a person to fit through. They learn that they can go through this cupboard to the other worlds beyond the 98 cupboards in Henry's wall. But not all the cupboards are filled with nice things. Some are filled with intense and complete evil. Henry and Henrietta need help. Quick.

This book was mysterious... ohhh. I really wish I was there in the house going through the cupboards but not at the same time. This book was weird too. Beware there is violence in the end.

oh yeah, definitely should read this one, along with the series too! its really good and has a lot of suspense if youre into that kind of stuff.

This is an amazing book! This book is full of suspense and many things happen that you didn't expect would happen. The main character, Henry, finds these cupboards that lead to different worlds. The book goes on to be about finding what is in the cupboards and discovering the monsters behind them. I would recommend this book to people that like fantasy and suspense.

I am very interested to see where this book is going. I do want to know what is behind the cupboard doors and if Henry's parents will be rescued.

This book was awesome......but the old grandpa guy was weird 😛
