Stuart Gibbs never fails to enthrall me in each and every word of his writing. The Spy School series is no difference. It follows Ben Ripley, a 12-year-old boy recruited by the CIA to attend the prestigious Academy of Espionage. Ben may be a math whiz, but when it comes to stealth, coordination, and ability to shoot a grappling hook, he's just a tad bit of a flop. Despite these setbacks, however, Ben finds himself thrown headfirst into the mystery, action, and intrigue the life of a spy has to offer. He might have time for lectures... if he can thwart the evil organization trying to kill him first. Ben's misadventures make way for a fast-paced series that is simply a joy to read. You might find it excruciating to even attempt to put any Spy School novel down. They're full of ups, downs, twists, turns, and so much depth it nearly seems unnatural for a middle-grade series. I would recommend absolutely anyone to read this series. I guarantee you won't regret it.
