Splat goes on a Cat Scouts trip in this hilarious I Can Read book from New York Times bestselling author-artist Rob Scotton. Splat can hardly wait to put on his uniform, tie knots, and build a fire. But when a new member of the group does everything just a bit better than everyone else, Splat wishes he could have a chance to shine. Thanks to some sticky mud, he might get to show what a great outdoors-cat he really is!

Beginning readers will practice the -ot sound in this easy-to-read addition to the Splat series. Splat the Cat and the Hotshot is a Level One I Can Read book, which means it's perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences.

this book about this cat named Scott was the leader and someone different named Mr. Mott so it was about scoot and splat the cat how i find it cool because splat the cat had a rope and scott was in mud so everyone tried to get Scott out splat the cat he got him up splat the cat fell splat the cat didn't mind it splat the cat was the main person splat lead them home.

It was very interesting I think Scott was a cool guy and he still is cool because he was like the best one out of them. At the end that change my thoughts about him he was the forget fool one because he for got to bring the pot and more food. So then Splat the cat was the real hero.
