This book was very interesting. It is all about Walt Disney and his life. It expplains his journey to fame with his films, characters, and TV shows. It gives information of all his ups and downs through his journey. I made a text to world connection with this book because I have been to Disney World multiple times in my life. Even as I get older I still enjoy it just as much. I give this book a four star rating because as much as it was interesting, it was a little short for me personally. Even then, I learned a lot. If you are a person who likes to learn about famous people, this book is for you!

I've read a similar Stink book in the past about pirates. This book is about 8 year- old Jack and his younger sister Annie go to their treehouse for a ''mission'' and end up on the beach. Once on the beach, they see in the distance a boat approaching them. When the boat arrives pirates jump out and tell them to give them the gold. Jack and Annie are confused, and the pirates take them ''hostage''. The pirates look in their clubhouse and found a medal and accused them of hiding the rest. the kids soon find out the treasure'' map'' the captain had been read wrong. The kids then re-direct them to the right area. My connection to this book is I love treasure hunts.

Silverwing brought me through a flood of adventures! I truly couldn't put the book down! It is about Shade, the runt of his colony and is so small that he gets bullied for it. Then, one day, the colony goes on the yearly trip to go mate with the males and have babies. But, not two days have gone by and a storm approaches and the Shade is whisked away from his mother. He is very determined to go and find his colony before winter hits and reunite with his mom. Along the way, he meets friends, unexpected enemies, and unexpected allies helping him find his way. Does Shade have the strength in his tiny body to make it all the way? Will he find his colony in time? If so, are they at the destination already? This was truly a great read and I loved the leveled adventures and the moral of the story (I'll let you figure that out yourself!). I connected with the book because Shade and I are very small for age. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders. The reason I gave this book a 5-star rating is because it was an action-packed book and the author gave great detail, as if you were apart of the entire book! What fascinates me the most is that the author chose bats as the main character, which is absolutely a great idea.

Ked is a boy with a progressive back issue. Ked's mom left him and his dad a couple years ago. Ked's dad gambled all of their rent money away. On top of all of this, Ked has to deal with bullies as he loses every one of his friends. Ked does EVERYTHING to keep him and his dad afloat. He earns money in every way he can. His dad keeps gambling even as a deadline is placed on the rent that hasn't been paid in a few months. I connect with this book when I see people suffering inside and out. This book was so amazing that I never wanted to put it down. I rated this book five stars because of how stunning the emotions it made you feel were.
