This book starts with a murder in a museum. The Louvre's elderly curator Jacques Sauniere is found dead in the Louvre, among a mysterious puzzle he created just before his demise. Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor, is recruited to attempt to solve this puzzle. Yet he does not know, that the chief of police believes him guilty, and will stop at nothing to see him behind bars. Aided by Sophie Neveu, a French cryptographer, Langdon escapes the police, and embarks on a mission that involves the Priory of Scion, the Opus Dei, and lost messages of Leonardo Da Vinci. This book is a brilliantly created work of literature, that mixes fiction with truth into an utterly transfixing tale. The book is fairly dark though. i would only recommend it for mature middle schoolers and older.

This book is the fourth book in the five book Discworld series starring Tiffany Aching. Tiffany is now officially the witch of the chalk, and performs all the little tasks that ordinary people don't or can't perform. But now, something is stirring dark feelings against witches, and even the Nac Mac Feegles can not help her against this force. But yet, other things happen. Roland has a new fiance, Letitia, and there is to be a wedding. Yet wedding plans are vetoed when the old baron dies. Feegles set fire to broomsticks, and tie shoelaces together, and there may be more to Letitia than meets the eye. The fourth book in this series is darker than the rest of the books. Yet it carries the same strong female lead, and the message of overcoming bigotry as the rest of the books. Recommended for grades 5 and up.

Teenage pregnancy, suicide, and one mention of b**** plays a minor role in this book. Yet it carries the same strong female lead, and the message of overcoming bigotry as the rest of the books. Recommended for grades 5 and up.

This book is a prequel to the land of stories series. It shows the beginning of the land of stories, and how the fairy council got started. Brystal Evergreen is a girl who loves to read. But sadly reading is prohibited in her kingdom. When she finds a book of magic, she finds that she is a fairy, another sadly restricted thing in her kingdom. But thankfully, she is found by Madame Weatherberry, a fairy with the goal to return magic to the world. She finds many friends and begins to fit in with the magical community. But then she and her friends discover some things that may kill off the entire race of human beings.

This was a really good book, I would recommend it to all people who enjoy mysteries, and just want to read a good book. It all begins with a newspaper add to children about tests for special privileges. Only four pass the test, enough to give kind Mr. Benedict, (the person who put the add in the newspaper) the perfect amount to make a team of significantly talented children to go to the fearful institute to find some very odd, and scary things. Reynie, who can solve puzzles very fast, Sticky, who remembers everything he reads, Kate who's physical knowledge helps more than you can imagine, and finally Constance. Stubborn Constance who brings hilarity into the book, and contributes even more in the end than you may think. What do you, think the outcome of this story maybe?
