Artemis Fowl is a genius. He's outsmarted and befriended an entire race of elves and dwarves, assisted in stopping the goblin rebellion, foiled the Russian mafia, and saved his presumably dead father. He is now only 14. But when Artemis discovers he is not the only teenager with knowledge of the fairy races, he must once again team up with former LEP captain Holly Short, and travel through time and space to stop this teen from exposing the secrets of Magic, and prevent the invasion of a species that's been gone 10,000 years. And it's comes down to one question: who is the real enemy?
In the fifth installment of the Artemis Fowl series, written by Eoin Colfer, we are once again introduced to new characters, both funny, scary, and sad. One of the best parts of this series is how the author gives us a new way to look at things, unveiling some of the "truth" about Earth's history. This book is definitely one to read, but of course I recommend the first four books as well.
